ENVIRONMENTAL AESTHETICS

Berleant's approach to environmental aesthetics considers the human person as an active contributor in a context that includes and is continuous with the participant. A person is the perceptual center, both as an individual and as a member of a socio-cultural group, of his or her life-world whose horizons are shaped by geographical and cultural factors.
